About the translation process
What is needed to receive a quote?
To request a quote, you’ll need to send the documents to be translated. For sworn translations, a scanned copy of the document, including both the front and back, is sufficient. The original document is not required. The scanned copy will be printed and attached to the sworn translation.
What are the payment methods?
You can pay by bank transfer, Bizum, or in cash if you pick up the translation in person.
Do I need to pay in advance?
Yes, once we receive the payment confirmation, the process begins. You can also pay in cash if picking up the translation in person.
How are translations delivered?
Technical translations are typically delivered electronically. For sworn translations, a physical copy may be required, which can be sent by certified mail or collected in person in Santander.

What is a sworn translation?
A sworn translation is an official translation performed by a sworn translator appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation (Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, Unión Europea y Cooperación). In other words, a sworn translator certifies that the translation is an accurate and complete rendition of the original. In effect, the sworn translation carries the same legal weight as the original document in its country of origin. Sworn translations contain the stamp and signature of the sworn translator on all pages. This type of translation is also known as an official translation.
Who can do a sworn translation?
When the document is to be submitted in Spain, only a sworn translator accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation can carry out the translation.
How can I verify if a sworn translator is official?
The Language Interpretation Office (Oficina de Interpretación de Lenguas), under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, maintains an updated list of sworn translators and interpreters on its website.
How long does a sworn translation take?
The delivery time varies depending on the length of the document. Let us know if you need the translation by a specific date, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
How do I know if I need a sworn translation?
As a general rule, any official documentation in another language presented to an institution, organisation, or government authority requires a sworn translation. When in doubt, it is best to consult directly with the relevant authority. They can confirm whether the translation needs to be sworn, as they are the ones who set the requirements for the necessary documentation. Knowing what they accept helps avoid delays and unnecessary costs. You can also inquire if the documentation needs to be accompanied by an Apostille of The Hague (Apostilla de la Haya).
